15 Jan Cooking and Serving Dinner at Metro Turning Point
A friend of mine (for her birthday!) organized a group of nine of us to cook and serve caesar salad, lasagna, garlic bread, and pies (apple, cherry, and blueberry) with vanilla ice cream to almost 80 men at Metro Turning Point, which is a Shelter Nova Scotia shelter that takes a People First, Harm Reduction, and Housing First approach to homelessness. It was an amazing, inspiring, and humbling experience.
